We People Everywhere: stand together
amidst a universe of bright stars; and areas of shadow, turbulence and
change! To promote and more perfectly achieve sustainable liberty and
justice for all; to create and maximize together conditions far safer and happier
for everyone: together let us join in magnificent diversity, pledging unity
in commitment and allegiance to all these clearly-declared
"Universal Peace Ethics!"
Let us make them our "Highest Common Ideals!"*
May we actively:
"Communicate, Cooperate & Celebrate" - together
for common goals! Let us strive universally to appreciate and practice
with self and all others: mutual respect and good will; clear awareness
expressions and harmonious actions rooted in understanding and a
commitment to honesty and integrity at all levels; balance; haealthy
caution and trust; good humor and wisdom; a lively sense of fairness,
mutual responsibility, justice and sharing; with appropriate humility
compassion, patience, apology and forgiveness.

Let everyone prepare
with education for "universal peace ethics," attitudes and techniques;
and with daily periods of deep restfulness and transcendental calm.
Let us help everyone to establish a profound, comprehensive
apppreciation for others and "the moral law within" us all. Retaining
inner peace, let us forge ahead bravely toward openly intelligent
mutual understanding, nonviolent conflict resolution
and positive transformations benefiting everyone.

Together let us achieve and enjoy:
robust, holistic health and healthy progress for all
in a clean and beautiful environment.

Let us grant to all others in the "challenge of peace:"
the same universal and reciprocal rights we claim for ourselves

Let us evolve just,
sustainable agreements, laws and traditions at every level of social
organization; Let us exercise appropriate creative freedoms founded in
nourishing unities and balancing responsibilities.

Let us recognize
our deep self-interest in the peaceful growth and holistic well-being of
everyone. Let us acknowledge that true peace and love are the blossoming,
expression and fruit of all these essential values, practiced in balance and
proportion, omitting and annihilating none - nor anyone!

Let us come together in courage and civility
and grow in the life we share; caring for ourselves and one another as we
overcome disputes and obstacles forthrightly, gently and efficiently - in
friendship and respect for all, (and touched with a smile).

Let us survive and thrive together
even as we strive in this great common quest! Let us look to these timeless
ideals as our most reliable "stars" of comprehensive ethical guidance,
commitment and alliance toward lasting peace and happiness for all. We shall
grow apace in strength, security and fulfillment equal to our individual and
collective efforts in harmony with these ideals. As we coexist, overlap, interact
and frequently interlock in influence and power:

Let us establish a new, inclusive, universal tradition -
adopting, adapting and continually renewing our commitment to these
healthy ideals for lasting happiness: our new social contract of nonviolent,
foundational standards for universal, peaceful civilization.

Let us give them our honest best!

THE STAR ALLIANCE FOUNDATION:
MISSION

The STAR ALLIANCE Foundation is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan, and
nonsectarian citizens' initiative established in 1985. STAR ALLIANCE promotes
"universal peace ethics and ideals" toward more positive security, creative achievements
and growing happiness for all. "In teamwork with governments, education;
compatible nonprofit service and religious organizations, businesses, media and
individuals everywhere; STAR ALLIANCE does its honest best to identify, define,
explain and promote "Universal Peace Ethics and Ideals," in theory and action -
thereby providing education, inspiration, guidance and encouragement for everyone
to live more peacefully, successfully, happily and sustainably together.

OUR HERCULEAN TASK

There is an obvious need for peaceful social integration worldwide.
Fulfilling this need is vital to the preservation of our common home, Planet Earth,
and to healthy progress and happiness for the entire human race.
Responding to this greet need, The STAR ALLIANCE Foundation aspires to
reach out to virtually "everyone, everywhere" with our catalytic message of
"UNIVERSAL PEACE ETHICS AND IDEALS." We want to stimulate the human
race to a higher level of "communication, cooperation and celebration" for common
goals. To do this we want to provide widespread opportunities for people
everywhere to understand, discuss and commit (or reinforce their commitment) to
these beautiful, timeless, "universal" and unifying values. United in this
commitment, people can and will resolve their conflicts more peacefully and
efficiently, and generate more lasting, healthy growth and happiness together.
Allowing disaffected subcultures to remain dangerously fractured and
isolated in an age of nuclear weaponry, terrorism and potential environment
collapse courts unacceptable, continuing danger.

THE STAR ALLIANCE FOUNDATION
"PEOPLE'S LASTING PEACE FUND!"

The STAR ALLIANACE "People's Lasting Peace Fund," (TM) will create a
supportive basis for the Herculean educational task before us. The fund is based on
a simple principle of financial conservation: never spend the principle; only the EARNINGS! In this way, any donation made to the STAR ALLIANCE Lasting Peace Fund, however small or large, will be conserved to have an ongoing influence, generation after generation.
Our first capital goal (2008-9) is a "modest" one million dollars. This initial
cash nugget will generate reliable annual income in the neighborhood of $50,000 -
a small but wonderful start on operations for steady expansion.
Our long-term goal for The People's Fund is also simple: $1, on average, per
person on the planet! Following the example of Joseph Pulitzer and his campaign to
fund the installation of the Statue of Liberty (gathering donations from a broad base
of the population) together we can create a public endowment fund worthy of our
global dreams for "universal peace ethics" education.

FUTURE PROGRAMS OUTLINE
("Where will my money go"?)

The STAR ALLIANCE Foundation plans to develop our websites and work
in cooperation with a variety of established institutions in government, business,
education, entertainment and media. We will develop K-12, college and adult
education curricula; books and multi-media materials to promote: "The Vocabulary
of Peace;" "The Global Citizens' Peace Declaration & Pledge" series; the historic
Mt. Everest and STAR ALLIANCE Foundation Peace Flag(s); the "Star of Peace
Award;" presentations by the founder and affiliated artists, authors and speakers;
and displays and teacher training programs for schools and colleges, libraries and
museums. We will also undertake public service ad campaigns and interviews; and
eventually even musicals and movies; and continue our STAR ALLIANCE TV
shows.
Realizing the potential of TV. STAR ALLIANCE envisions one particularly
exciting and transformative project to jump-start global progress for peace. With
dynamic support, STAR ALLIANCE will organize an ongoing series of cooperative,
"ALL STAR PEACE ALLIANCE" (TM) televised "Town Meetings" for inter-cultural
conflict resolution, education and celebration.
We also aspire to create an ongoing, "ALL STAR PEACE ALLIANCE"
global citizens' interactive web hosting site that will allow individual members to
promote themselves and their projects, unified by our members' commitment to
"Universal Peace Ethics - Our Highest Common Ideals."

WHY WE ARE COST-EFFECTIVE &
DIFFERENT

STAR ALLIANCE Foundation programs are exciting for potential
volunteers, donors and institutional sponsors because our approach is efficient and
cost-effective - truly catalytic. The esential, positive values that we emphasize in
our educational materials and programs are compatible with, and supportive to,
good religious values from many traditions; with one very important difference. We
present these values in a non-religious, state-supportable way! Therefore, STAR
ALLIANCE ethical ideals touch hearts and minds with little personal or
institutional resistance. As they become enlivened and reinforced, these values work
naturally to soothe inter-factional tensions and improve human relations in a wide
variety of life settings and situations. This effect occurs pretty much automatically
and continually and, we predict, will become exponentially cumulative if we
"deploy" it among large numbers of people.
The catalytic ripple effects already observed from sharing STAR
ALLIANCE educational materials experimentally over the entire social spectrum
since 1985 have been huge. Witness, for example, the sudden, unexpected
dissolution of the Cold War. Based on our experience and observations, we feel that
our programs are among the best "social investments" available on the planet
today. A book will be required to do justice to our heretofore quiet interventions.
But for everyone's sake: if you share the vision, please don't wait to help the
Foundation grow!
You can assist STAR ALLIANCE to build the dream and put these
"universal peace ideals" to wider tests today. Start by sharing the Declaration and
Pledge with others close to you, and consider a contribution of "Time,Talent or
Treasure - best of all: two or all three!

THE URGENCY

We hope you'll agree: THERE'S NO TIME TO WASTE! Social needs are
crying out all around, and non-state actors, often trapped in frustrating poverty, egged
on by their experiences and perceptions of injustice, can plot to perform or support
increasing acts of terrorism. These range from local crime (including domestic
violence) to international who-knows-what? Let's not wait for more school shootings
and terrorist acts. The far safer option for PEACE-LOVING people is to act NOW!
We, The People, must bring hope and facility for more efficient, nonviolent conflict
resolution and transformation to the dispossessed - and to ourselves! Let's not leave
it all to others! We at STAR ALLIANCE need your support today to stimulate a safer,
more positive social atmosphere for you, your loved ones, and everyone.
Please give as generously as you can - especially in respect and compassion
for all those still suffering miserably who cannot! As you make your choice, please
consider your vital personal, economic, environmental and spiritual stakes in social
stability, sustainability and growing peace and happiness.
Only you can honestly answer this question: "What is my proper role in the
STAR ALLIANCE global campaign for lasting peace?" Only you, the individual
citizen, can take personal responsibility and action.

How to "Be A Star!"

FIRST: Sign a STAR ALLIANCE Pledge. You don't have to be perfect to
sign this declaration for timeless ideals! Signing indicates and strengthens your
sincere pledge to keep on doing your best - in concert with others - to live them
better in daily life.If you want others to support your social environment - you
must do your part to support them, too! Keep your signed pledge on display for
yourself and others at home (and/or work) to reinforce your own commitment.

SECOND: Return to STAR ALLIANCE a copy of your signature below or
by e-mail. Feel free to give us any feedback you desire, too,- positive or critical.
(Unless you request otherwise, we may post your signature and comments on the Internet.) If you feel there's any reason you can't sign for now, please tell us why.
It could help us improve future editions!

THIRD: Make a donation. "No amount is too small!" (…or too large, for
that matter!) We have a lot of work to do for you Please support us so we can do it better.) For a tax-deductible donation of $35 or more we'll send you a copy of the STAR ALLIANCE Citizens' Pledge signed by the author. For those who can give
$100 or more: we'll send you a brilliant color copy signed in the original by the

universal ethical principles. You may be pleasantly surprised at the results!

FINALLY, REMEMBER: It's true that "The whole is more than the sum of
the parts." - and each of us is just a small part of the population of the world. But
it's also true that each part is vital to the whole! SO BE A STAR IN OUR
